Bursaries & Free School Meals

A number of bursaries and other methods of financial support are available for eligible students at Harris Westminster Sixth Form.

Free School Meals

Many students at Harris Westminster are entitled to Free School Meals which are provided by our canteen. Even if students have been in receipt of free school meals in the past, they must reapply via the  Harris Federation Free School Meals website when starting at Harris Westminster Sixth Form. Apply for free school meals via this link: https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/harrisfederation. Parents and carers can check their eligibility and apply online without having to discuss the details of their circumstances with anyone at the Sixth Form via the above link. We can assure parents and carers that all matters regarding FSM are treated with discretion and in confidence.

The website will give an immediate decision of eligibility and notification will be sent to us so that your son or daughter can start receiving their Free School Meals.

Travel Bursaries

The Travel Bursary is available if your child is in receipt of Free School Meals and they travel to school via train and/ or underground. If your application is successful then the full cost of travel, using the 16-19 Oyster card, will be reimbursed every few weeks.

16-19 Bursary Fund

Many students at Harris Westminster are entitled to the 16-19 Government Bursary Fund for students from low income families and children in care. Application forms are provided to all students within their enrolment packs. This Bursary helps with educational costs throughout the academic year. Full details can be found at https://www.gov.uk/1619-bursary-fund.

Students will need to re-apply for the bursary each academic year. Forms can be collected from Reception.
